UMED participated in the “2026 Four-Pole Cooperation Regional Investment Roadshow,” where it showcased its unique urology healthcare technologies and growth strategies, drawing the attention of investment institutions.

The Big Dream Well Bio Business Unit of the Gimhae Small and Medium-sized Enterprise R&D Special Zone announced on the 12th that it had successfully hosted the “2026 Four-Pole Cooperation Regional Investment Roadshow (Southeast Region)” on the 10th, in collaboration with the R&D Special Zone Promotion Foundation and the R&D special zones in the Southeast region.

This event was organized as part of the “Four-Pole Cooperation Project” led by the Foundation for the Promotion of Special R&D Zones. Its primary objective is for the four “Strong Small R&D Zones”—Ulju, Changwon, Jinju, and Gimhae—and the Busan R&D Zone to establish a super-regional cooperation framework and provide comprehensive support for attracting investment and fostering the growth of promising local deep-tech companies.

In particular, this roadshow went beyond one-off support focused on individual special economic zones and operated as an “ultra-regional cooperation platform” that brings together the companies, investors, and industrial networks across the entire Southeast region, thereby significantly expanding investment opportunities for local innovative companies.

Key investment institutions from the Southeast region, including △Gyeongnam Venture Investment, △Busan Regional University Consortium Technology Holding, △Series Ventures, △UNIST Technology Holding, △K-Ground Ventures, △Tap Angel Partners, and △BNK Venture Investment, were all present at the event.

They shared information on each institution’s fund management status and investment strategies and engaged in intensive networking with companies in the special economic zone.

At the investor relations (IR) briefing that followed, 14 promising companies poised to lead the region’s strategic industries—including aerospace, biomedical and medical devices, electric propulsion systems, and eco-friendly and next-generation rechargeable batteries—participated and showcased their unparalleled technological competitiveness and commercialization achievements.

Participating companies engaged in in-depth discussions on follow-up investments and practical business collaboration strategies through one-on-one, customized investment consultations with investment institutions.

ICU Corporation and UMED, promising companies in the biomedical and medical device sectors that participated as representatives of the Gimhae Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Special Zone, drew significant attention from investors by showcasing their unique technological strengths and future growth strategies.

Kim Hae-gang, Director of the Big Dream Well Bio Business Unit at the Hanjin Gimhae Small and Medium-sized Enterprise R&D Special Zone, said, “This roadshow was a meaningful event where investment institutions and innovative companies came together to seek tangible growth drivers, building on the combined strength of the Southeast Region’s R&D Special Zones.” He added, “We will continue to expand ultra-regional collaboration among the special zones and strengthen tailored support programs for each stage of a company’s growth to revitalize the regional innovation ecosystem.”
