KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) announced on the 1st that Korean companies are expected to win 60% of the CES 2026 Innovation Awards.

CES is an international electronics exhibition where leading companies in the electronic and technology industries showcase their latest innovations. As of 2025, more than 4,300 companies and 130,000 visitors from around the world participated. The CES Innovation Awards are presented by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) to products and services that demonstrate outstanding technology, design, and innovation. Only products launched for the first time that year are eligible, and more than 100 judges from around the world participate in the evaluation.

According to the first results released by CTA in early November, 168 Korean companies are expected to receive 222 Innovation Awards across 204 products at CES 2026—accounting for about 60% of all awards. Winning a CES Innovation Award not only certifies the international competitiveness of a company’s technology but also strengthens brand recognition and credibility. Since 2021, KOTRA, together with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, has supported Korean companies through an annual CES Innovation Award assistance program. Of the 222 awards won this year by Korean companies, 54 went to companies supported by KOTRA.

KOTRA President Kang Kyung-sung stated, “Korea’s strong presence in the AI sector—which is reshaping the global technology landscape—is both meaningful and a major opportunity,” adding, “We will continue to support Korea’s innovative companies so that their technology and capabilities lead to growth and global expansion, helping Korea emerge as one of the world’s top three AI powerhouses.”

The full list of award recipients will be officially announced at the CES opening event in early January 2026.
